Thaala Bentota

Introduction

Thaala Bentota, a beach resort of good quality on Sri Lanka's west coast, was originally designed by Sri Lanka’s iconic architect, the late Geoffrey Bawa.  The interiors of this 4-star hotel are modern and contemporary with well appointed rooms and stylish public spaces. Thaala Bentota fronts a broad sandy beach that is ideal for swimming during the season from December to April. Plenty of watersports are on offer from wind surfing to jet and water skiing in the nearby Bentota lagoon.

Thaala Bentota offers Superior, Deluxe and Suite Rooms all with private balconies or terrace with sea views. Rooms have modern décor and in-room facilities include a/c, overhead fan, large flat-screen cable TV, DVD player, tea/coffee facility, mini-bar, hair dryer, and safe.

Superior Rooms: The 60 Superior Rooms have ensuite bathrooms with h/w showers.

Deluxe Rooms: These 13 rooms are more spacious and consist of an additional dressing area; ensuite bathroom with bathtub and shower; and a butler service.

Suites: The two luxurious suites have in-room dining and lounging space; ensuite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi; and a butler service.

Dine in the main restaurant, on the beach with the ocean lapping at your feet, in the gardens under a starlit sky or in the privacy of your own room. There are three restaurant serving Sri Lankan and international cuisine and seafood speciality dishes and a cigar and wine bar. Breeze is a buffet-style restaurant. Frangipani offers fine dining. They also have a beachfront shisha lounge. Other hotel facilities include a fully equipped gym, two outdoor freshwater swimming pools and separate children’s pool; beach volleyball, water sports, conference facilities, business centre with Wi-Fi, 24 hour room service and laundry service. The garden spa offers a range of relaxing massages and beauty treatments.
