Introduction

Villa Sulanga is an elegant villa just footsteps from Koggala Beach, one of the most sought-after beach destinations in Sri Lanka. Villa Ahasa, its sister property, is just next door, also making a potential use of both properties convenient for large families or groups of friends travelling together. Spend your time relaxing by the 15-metre infinity pool in the garden and gazing out at the magnificent sea views, or cool down on the expansive terrace / balcony with a good book. Designed in a Bawa-esque style, Villa Sulanga blends outside spaces with indoor living, and is decorated in calming colours which reflect the tranquillity of your surroundings. A collection of unusual artefacts adds interest, from Chinese furniture to framed mirrors and local artwork.

Accommodation

There are three bedrooms at Villa Sulanga, all furnished with four-poster beds. The two upper-floor rooms are an interconnecting double and twin, ideal for families, and both open out to a balcony. The double room on the ground floor has an outdoor shower and opens straight out to the garden. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with a shower.

Facilities

A villa manager, chef, housekeepers and butlers will be on hand to assist you during your stay. The chef can whip up Western favourites and local dishes depending on your preference, and will discuss meals with you ahead of time. The open-sided dining room has beautiful ocean views. There is also a DVD library and lots of books to keep you all occupied during your stay.

Villa Sulanga is a stylish beach villa on Koggala Beach, 15 minutes from Unawatuna Bay and a short drive from UNESCO World Heritage Site Galle Fort. Whale watching and other water-sports can easily be done using Villa Sulanga as a base.
