Introduction

The Victoria Golf Chalets offer exceptional value and their position within the Victoria Golf & Country Resort itself - about 50 minutes east of Kandy - make them perfect for the golf enthusiast who wants to waste no time before getting on the first tee. The Resort also offers a host of recreational activities that even non-golfing travelling partners as well as children will enjoy. All chalets have private verandas with stunning views of the Knuckles Mountain Range.

Accommodation

Each of the ten Victoria Golf Chalets consists of a twin bedroom opening out to a private verandah with beautiful mountain views and some with a grandstand view of the 17th Tee. The chalets can be booked with a/c or on a non-a/c basis. All bedrooms have overhead fans, satellite TV and tea/coffee facility. An additional bed is provided at an extra charge. Ensuite bathroom has h/w showers.

Facilities

Guests at the Victoria Golf Chalets are welcome to use the Victoria Resort’s swimming pool and tennis courts free-of-charge. All other facilities at the VGCR including the 18-hole golf course, putting green and driving range are available at an additional fee. The Victoria Golf Chalets can be booked on a BB or HB basis which includes breakfast and dinner at the Araliya restaurant which is just a two minute walk away. Located at the Club house, Araliya has an a la carte menu of Sri Lankan and western meals and light snacks.

Location

The ten spacious Victoria Golf Chalets are centrally-located within the magnificent 500-acre estate of the Victoria Golf & Country Resort, which is situated approximately 20km east of Kandy. Owned and managed by the VGCR, the Victoria Golf Chalets are positioned on the edge of the golf course, close to the tennis court and swimming pool, with only the putting green separating it from the Club House. The journey from Colombo to Kandy takes approximately four hours. Avoid road travel by flying directly to Victoria using the Air Taxi from the International Airport which takes only about 40 minutes.
