Trinco Blu by Cinnamon

Introduction

Trinco Blu by Cinnamon is one of the finest hotels on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. The hotel interiors hof this four-star beach hotel in Uppaveli have a `retro chic’ theme with gleaming white walls, bleached wooden decks, polished cement floors and plenty of open spaces that allow guests to enjoy the tropical sun and spectacular ocean views. Interiors are bright and airy, decorated with rattan furniture upholstered with denim and a dash of bright orange here and there. Trinco Blu by Cinnamon has an informal and laid back ambience and welcomes families with children.

Accommodation

There are 81 rooms in total, which includes: 43 Superior Rooms, 36 Deluxe Beach Chalets, and two Suites. All rooms have a private balcony or veranda and are furnished with double or twin beds, lounge chairs and a work desk. Standard in-room facilities include: a/c and an overhead fan, a cable TV, IDD telephone, a minibar, tea/coffee facilities and a hair dryer. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.

Superior Rooms: Located over two floors, these rooms open out to the central gardens, swimming pool and the sea beyond.

Beach Chalets (Deluxe Rooms): There are 36 Beach Chalets constructed in units of four which are located at the beach front, providing wonderful sea views. The ground floor units open out to a private veranda with a day bed and the upstairs units have a private balcony. In addition to the standard facilities, these rooms have a DVD player, a safety deposit box and bath robes and slippers.

Suites: The two spacious suites consist of a bedroom and separate sitting area which leads out to a private balcony. Ensuite bathrooms have a h/w shower and a bath tub.

Facilities

A highlight of this property is the spectacular infinity pool that appears to merge with the turquoise ocean beyond. The main restaurant serves Sri Lankan and international cuisine buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The specialty seafood restaurant by the beach offers freshly prepared crabs, prawns and fish purchased directly from the local fisherman. Other hotel facilities include two bars, a gym, a children’s play area and room and laundry services. The property is set on large gardens scattered with coconut palms and has an extensive beach frontage. Trinco Blu by Cinnamon is the only hotel in Nilaveli and Uppuveli with its own fully equipped water-sports centre headed by an internationally-experienced team of instructors.

Trinco Blu by Cinnamon is four miles from Trincomalee on the north-east coast. This region enjoys a long season from March to September when the seas are perfect for swimming, scuba diving and snorkelling.
