The Heritage Hotel

Introduction

The Heritage Hotel is a 17-bedroom hotel located within a generous land extent within the Galle Fort. Originally a shop, more than 300 years ago, The Heritage today is an ideal choice for those seeking a competitively-priced stay within the Fort in a traditional heritage-style hotel setting rather than an upmarket villa. An authentic heritage experience at a lower price than many of the most luxurious Fort villas and hotels.

Accommodation

The Heritage offers two types of rooms: 15 Deluxe Rooms and 2 Suites for those seeking a bit more space. Rooms are simple and feature clean designs. The corridors are vast and offer a space for guests to sit and enjoy views of the interior courtyard. Guests can opt for A/C or non-A/C rooms with ceiling fans.

Deluxe Room: A decent size room offering amenities such as flat screen TV, a wardrobe and a minibar. There is also a dressing table in the room. Rooms can be double or twin and an extra bed can be added on request. There is also a balcony to watch the sunset from. The ensuite bathroom has h/w and a rainshower.

Suites: With colonial décor blended with modern furnishings, each of these two suites comes with a flat screen TV, wardrobe and a minibar. The two suites are named Agasthi and Serenade and also offer a private seating space boasting views of the rampart and ocean beyond. The ensuite bathroom has h/w as well as a bathtub. These suites can accommodate up to four guests.

Facilities

The Heritage offers guests a great space within the Fort and all rooms are well-equipped including free Wi-Fi throughout the property. The Graag Hebben Restaurant opposite the main building can accommodate up to 100 diners and serves up both local and international cuisine.
