Introduction
Thalduwa Island Villas is hidden amidst thick foliage alongside the Goviyapana river off Sri Lanka's southern coastal surfing town of Ahangama. It consists of four elegant Dutch-styled villas: Karmel, Gabrielle, Vador and Sisila. Occupying a large coconut grove, the villas are adequately spaced out, surrounded by tropical gardens providing ample space and a sense of privacy for guests.
Although similarly designed, each of the four villas incorporate different soothing colour tones, tasteful interiors and hand-picked furniture to differentiate the villas and ultimately create a stylish yet comfortable holiday getaway. In addition to the well-appointed bedrooms, each villa has a private swimming pool, spacious living, lounge and terrace area and kitchen.
These villas can be booked by the room, as a villa or in its entirety if it’s a large group.
Accommodation
Karmel: The main villa has three ensuite bedrooms and two additional Honeymoon Suites, five rooms in total. The main house rooms consist of one double and two twin rooms.
Gabrielle: Villa Gabrielle has a pool and garden on a river side. The property consists of three different Villas, the Grand Suite, the Family Suite and the Honeymoon Suite with a total of 5 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 10 people. The whole can be rented exclusively or room by room.
Vador: This has two bedrooms: a double and a twin in the main villa and a Honeymoon Suite away from the main house. Three rooms in total.
Sisila: Offering four rooms in total, the main villa has three bedrooms and a separate room overlooking the river. There are three doubles and a twin room.
All rooms are well-appointed with tasteful décor and interior and complete with twin or king-sized beds and complimenting furniture. In-room facilities include: A/C, fan and Wi-Fi. Ensuite bathrooms come with bath tubs or walk-in showers with h/w.
Facilities
All four villas have access to private swimming pools, large common areas including living rooms furnished with cable TV, lounge areas and terraces overlooking the gardens. Although each villa has its own kitchen which guests have access to, all meals are prepared at the main kitchen which oversees the four villas. Guests have the option of having their meals at the main dining area or at the terrace overlooking the pool or garden. The menu at Thalduwa Island Villas feature a selection of Sri Lankan, Continental and Middle Eastern dishes. The villas do not have liquor license but it can be purchased upon request or guests can bring in their own alcohol.

Location
Thalduwa Island Villas is just off Sri Lanka's south coast, five minutes from Midigama (the nearest beach) and approximately 2.5 hours from the Colombo International Airport and 40 minutes from Galle Fort. Alternatively, guests can also use an air taxi to Koggala and then take a 20 minute drive to the villas.
