Taru Villas - The Long House is a chic private villa overlooking the golden sands of Bentota in the prime upmarket strip just south of the town. Accommodation

Stand at the main door to this villa and you will easily see why The Long House is so named. With a neatly manicured garden bordering the lengthy pathway leading towards the pool, dining area and beach beyond, The Long House offers 10 plush rooms. All rooms have high ceilings ensuring great ventilation, and are furnished in modern style with comfy king-sized beds, in-room safes, air conditioning, overhead fans, cable TV, h/w rain showers and hairdryers. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

Premier rooms (Double): these four rooms on the ground floor come with a fairly large lounge as well as a private terrace. No extra beds can be added.

Premier rooms (Triple): located on the first floor, the four Premier Triple rooms have a large lounge and a terrace and an extra bed can be added if necessary.

Premier Family room: ideal for a family of four, the Premier Family room has a master bedroom as well as an additional room with twin beds. There is also a well-decorated living space which includes a TV and snug sofas against the walls.

Facilities

Taru Villas - The Long House is a haven for letting your days slow down a bit, and there’s much to do both in and around the villa. Head out for water sports, visit the temple nearby or venture a little further to explore the historic Galle Fort. If not, stay within The Long House walls and take a dip in the dreamy 80 ft pool which even has a children's area, book a massage or play a round of croquet in the expansive gardens. There is also a play room for children and a small gym.

Meals are paid special attention to at The Long House, with high quality ingredients being used throughout the menus created by international chefs. The signature Taru Villas breakfast is something to look forward to in addition to the range of dishes served, from Asian to international as well as all-day snacks and high tea. The restaurant is by the pool, but meals can be arranged at different locations on request.

The Long House sits by a beach, just ten minutes from the town of Bentota. Positioned close to Taru Villas’ sister properties Rock Villa and The Muse, The Long House is just a little over an hour from the Galle Fort and a little less than two hours from Colombo.
