Accommodation

There are several accommodation option on offer here ranging from beach villas to water bungalows. Interiors are smart and tastefully decorated with teak furniture, upholstered chairs and flowing drapes. All villas open out to a private balcony, terrace or sundeck. The water bungalows are located right on the lagoon and are located in an oval jetty which is connected by a wooden walkway. In-room facilities include a/c, overhead fans, minibar, and coffee/tea facility.

Presidential Suites: These two exclusive bungalows are located at the tip of the jetty and are furthest away from the main resort centre providing for more privacy.

Honeymoon Water Villas: Five spacious honeymoon villas consist of a sitting room, bedroom, cloakroom, and sundeck with Jacuzzi and steam and massage shower cubicle. The glass panels right around allows for panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.

Jacuzzi Water Villas: The 32 villas have marble floors, dark wood furniture, and bathrooms with twin washbasins and h/w showers. The extensive sundecks have Jacuzzis and sun lounges.

Deluxe Water Villas: These 21 water villas are furnished with white muslin draped four poster beds and cushioned lounges on the sundeck. These villas have a swim up platform and stairway going down into the lagoon.

Luxury Beach Villas: Eight Luxury Beach villas are located right on the beach and opens out to sea views. Interiors consist of a spacious bedroom, a `sala’ for lounging, and inside/outside bathroom with outdoor shower. These villas are located closer to the main bar area.

Deluxe Beach Villas: The 96 Deluxe Beach villas are situated in two storey blocks of four and two villas. There are interconnecting rooms for families. The Deluxe Beach villas are located closer to the activity centres.

Facilities

International cuisine is served buffet style at the main restaurant which is extensive and spreads over the water. There is also a speciality Japanese restaurant, a la carte Lagoon restaurant, and three bars. Rejuvenate at the Sun spa which offers a range of relaxing massages and beauty treatments. There is also laundry service, in-house doctor and clinic. Olhuveli has two swimming pools including a children’s pool, gym, pool room, table tennis, floodlit badminton and tennis courts; and watersports centre that offers wind surfing, kite boarding, sailing, water skiing, banana boating, wake boarding and snorkelling. The Sun Diving School conducts PADI-certified diving courses and organises wreck and night dives. Evening entertainment at Olhuveli includes a live band and Maldivian cultural performances.

Location

Olhuveli is located in South Male Atoll on its own sandy island surrounded by a large lagoon, house reef and the Indian Ocean. The speedboat transfer from the international airport will take about 50 minutes.
