Accommodation

The 221 rooms at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi are categorised into three main categories: Beach Villas, Water Villas and Retreats, with several sub categories.

Beach Villas: These cylindrical styled beach villas blend modern design elements with a hint off natural features such as the thatched roof. Decorated in pastel shades, the villas are well-appointed with a king-sized bed and accompanying furnishing including writing desk and vanity and sun lounges. Ensuite bathrooms are partially open-air and feature a bathtub.

Sub categories include Deluxe Beach Villa, Deluxe Beach Villa with a pool, Family Deluxe Beach Villa with a pool and Pool Beach Villa. The Family villa and the Pool Beach Villas can accommodate 4 adults and a child, while the maximum occupancy for the remaining are 3 adults and a child or 2 adults and 2 children.

Water Villas: These contemporary styled water villas are situated above the island’s lagoon affording spectacular views of the horizon and Indian Ocean. Perfect for a romantic holiday or honeymoon, the water villas can also accommodate a family of four. The villa is furnished with a king-sized bed, private outdoor deck and private bathroom with a bathtub. In addition, there are also Horizon Water Villas, Sunset Horizon Water Villas and Infinity Water Villas. All three sub categories feature a Jacuzzi on the deck.

Retreats: This category comprises of Aqua Retreat, Hidden Retreat and Celebrity Retreat – all modern villas built on water ensuring privacy, exclusivity and breathtaking views. The Aqua and Hidden Retreats feature two king-sized bedroom each and the plush Celebrity Retreat consist of three king-sized bedrooms. Each category also has a living area, kitchen, outdoor deck with a Jacuzzi, a private swimming pool and around the clock butler service.

In-room facilities for all villas: A/C, fans, Wi-Fi, flat screen smart TV, pillow menu, sun lounges and ensuite private bar.

Facilities

Sun Siyam Iru Fushi offers a host of facilities including excursions, kids’ activities, diving and water sports. Their award winning spa – Spa by Thalgo France offers a comprehensive menu of traditional Ayurvedic treatments and relaxing rituals in treatment rooms that feature the four natural elements – wood, stone, water and light. The resort also has hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms and sauna. Guests have the option of consulting with the resident Ayurvedic Doctor. Yoga and meditation are also offered.

There are as many as nine restaurants – Iru, the main buffet restaurant with themed nights; Teppanyaki featuring Japanese; Taste of India by Fluid; Bamboo offering Vietnamese cuisine; Maldivian cuisine at Islander’s Grill, Flavours serving French delicacies; Italian speciality at Trio; The Spa Café for healthy options and La Cremeria which serves homemade ice cream and gelato. There are also five bars – The Wine Cellar, Bubble Lounge, Fluid Bar, Reflections and Water Edge, the main bar.

Location

Transfers to Sun Siyam Iru Fushi can be arranged via seaplane, domestic flight or speed boat. It takes about 45 minutes from the Male Airport by seaplane to the resort. Guests can also use a combination of domestic flight and speed boat (depending on availability) from the nearest Ifuru island. This transfer will take around 80 minutes.
