Stone House

Introduction

Stone House is a five-bedroom boutique villa 15 minutes from the centre of Kandy. It offers luxurious accommodation with personalised service in a secluded holiday setting. The house’s stone façade gives way to cosy living spaces within: the interiors are decorated with contemporary art, plush sofas and four-poster beds. The well-appointed bedrooms and suites open out to private terraces where guests can take in the mountain views. Stone House has terraced gardens with a swimming pool and is surrounded by extensive tropical foliage. Stone House can be booked by the room and is the sister property of Deer Park Hotel in Polonnaruwa and Clove Villa in Kandy.

Accommodation

There are three Standard Rooms and two spacious Suites opening out to garden and mountain views. Room interiors are tastefully furnished with king-sized beds, wardrobe, writing desk and luggage rack. In-room facilities include a/c, overhead fan, 32 inch LED TV with satellite channels and blue-ray player, mini-bar, tea/coffee facilities and complimentary snacks, safety locker and 24 hour room service. A baby cot can be provided on request. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.

Standard Rooms: Located on the ground floor: two double and one triple.

Junior Suite: In addition to the standard facilities, the Junior Suite has a 47 inch LED TV, BOSE sound system and ensuite bathroom with twin vanities, bath tub and h/w shower. This suite is located on the first floor and is furnished with a king-sized four-poster bed.

Executive Suite: Also on the first floor, this luxurious Suite consists of a bedroom, sitting area and ensuite bathroom with twin vanities and bath tub with Jacuzzi. In addition to the standard facilities, there is a 47 inch LED TV; BOSE sound system and iPod dock, complimentary mini-bar and bottle of wine. An additional single bed can be accommodated.

Facilities

International cuisine is served in the dining room or in the gardens, including traditional Sri Lankan food prepared with rice from the owner’s private rice mills. There is a lounge, library and swimming pool furnished with sun loungers where you can relax and complimentary Wi-Fi runs throughout the property.

Stone House is set on a hillock in Nittawala, a residential suburb of Kandy just 15 minutes from Kandy town. The journey from Colombo’s international airport will take about 3.5 hours.
