Introduction

Sri Villas’ three beautiful villas – Araliya, Nisala and Sagara sit on a beautiful stretch of coastline in Induruwa on the West coast. All have stunning uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean that are exceptionally beautiful at sunset. A lush garden featuring soaring coconut palms, fragrant frangipani, hibiscus and heliconia aromatically envelopes the property while a sparkling 30-metre child-friendly swimming pool sits invitingly in front of the villas.

Each of the fully-staffed villas is designed as a contemporary version of a typical Sri Lankan home where high vaulted ceilings, tall louvered windows and wraparound verandas predominate. The ground-floor living and dining areas of each villa are especially generously sized and open onto pillared verandas set with elegantly designed seating that overlook the pool, garden and ocean.

Sri Villas can be booked on suite basis as well as on villa basis.

Accommodation

Araliya Villa has four A/C suites - two King suites with en suite bathrooms on the upper floor that open out to their own private balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean; a Junior suite with ensuite bathroom, and a twin room are located on the ground floor.

Nisala Villa stands at the centre of the property, with Araliya and Sagara situated on either side. Nisala opens directly onto the central swimming pool, the gardens, and the sea beyond. Nisala has two wonderful A/C Ocean View suites on the upper floor with ensuite bathrooms. The suites are tastefully furnished with four-poster beds fitted with mosquito nets and open to a large private balcony with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean.

Sagara Villa has three spacious A/C suites. The two King suites are on the upper floor, and the Garden suite on the ground floor has direct access to the beach. All suites have their own en suite bathroom and are tastefully furnished with four-poster beds and mosquito nets. Each suite has its own balcony or veranda with breath-taking views of the Indian Ocean.

Facilities

This stretch of beach is typically tranquil and often deserted; take yourself off for a sandy sunset stroll or enjoy the crimson sky from your veranda, drink in hand. If you fancy a break from the beach, cycle inland exploring the local villages and lush green paddy, or visit nearby Bentota for a range of water sports. There are several turtle hatcheries nearby, and Sri Villas is also a great base from which to explore the architecture of Geoffrey Bawa. Our kitchen can provide a delicious range of Sri Lankan and international meals, and special meals/events can be catered for. Meals can be enjoyed in the villa dining area, on the veranda, in the garden or on the beach.

Location

Induruwa is just 10 minutes south of Bentota. The drive to Galle takes approximately 1.5 hours. The journey from Colombo’s International Airport is about 2.5 hours.
