Sisikirana Villa

Introduction

Siskirana, set back from the main road, is a stunning three-bedroom villa in Unawatuna just five minutes from the beach. Designed in a typically southern style, the villa is one-storey, white with a terracotta roof, decorated with intricate lattice work and has a wide wrap-around terrace. Interiors are cool with light walls and dark floors punctuated by interesting architectural notes, such as the indoor pond which is open to the sky and ornamental pillars which frame the open-plan kitchen and dining area. The villa is surrounded by well-maintained gardens dotted with small ponds and swaying palm trees. A sheltered bar area sits at one end of the garden, fronting a large swimming pool complete with deck and sun loungers. Sisikirana Villa is booked in its entirety and can accommodate up to six guests.

There are three a/c double bedrooms, each with a wardrobe and ensuite bathroom with h/w rain shower.

Facilities

Relax in the garden by the large swimming pool, or shelter from the midday sun in the shaded terrace alcove, which is decorated with comfortable seats and a cable TV. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the modern kitchen, or can request the villa’s cook to prepare traditional Sri Lankan cuisine. BBQ facilities are also available. Bathrooms are complete with towels and toiletries.

Why We Like It

A decent-sized pool for a villa of this type is an added advantage and Unawatuna beach is only a short drive away.

Sisikirana is tucked away from the coastal road, just five minutes from lively Unawatuna beach and a short drive from Galle. The journey from Colombo’s international airport will take approximately 2.5 hours or hop on an air taxi.
