Facilities

Dine al fresco on a poolside terrace, in the traditional elegance of an Asian-style restaurant with stunning Indian Ocean views, or choose from the freshest seafood. There is also a selection of bars to suit your mood

Maakana Buffet Restaurant: Savour a wide range of delicious dishes throughout the day at Maakana Restaurant, a casual open-air, buffet-style restaurant with a beachside setting and breathtaking views. An excellent Maldivian dining experience with fresh food and spices at its core.

Raabondhi Restaurant: Nestled among natural sand formations and tropical vegetation, this alluring restaurant offers a dramatic ambience both indoors and out. Choose from the freshest seafood and meat grilled and roasted outdoors along with hand-picked wines.

Also: Palm Terrace offers refreshments and light snacks on the terrace; the Pool Bar has great ocean views; you can enjoy a game of pool or lounge around in the Boli Bar; and the Fun Pub has a resident live band, karaoke and a full-sized snooker table.

There is a swimming pool and gymnasium. The Araamu Spa has a range of beauty treatments and massage, indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam rooms. Water sports include PADI-approved scuba-diving, snorkelling, catamaran, fun-tubing, sailing, kneeboards, windsurfing, parasailing and day and night fishing. There is tennis, squash, table tennis, volleyball, badminton and billiards.

Location

Royal Island resort is on Dharavandhoo Island, 118km northwest of Malé in Baa Atoll. The transfer from Malé International Airport involves a 20-minute domestic flight.
