Mount Havana

Introduction

Mount Havana is a four-bedroom boutique hotel perched on a hill near Gampola with spectacular views across the valley towards the sacred Sri Lankan mountain Adam’s Peak. Set on a working fruit, vegetable and tea plantation, this is a tranquil spot. Mount Havana has polished cement floors and tall glass windows offering uninterrupted mountain views, and the living and dining rooms open on to the front gardens, infinity swimming pool and mountains beyond. The hotel is designed for a relaxing stay – there are no set meal times and a personalised service is provided. Mount Havana follows a strict eco-friendly policy and benefits the surrounding community and can be booked per room or as a whole villa and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in two double rooms and two suites. These luxurious ensuite bedrooms have private terraces and mountain views, are furnished with hardwood furniture and a king-sized bed and are decorated with local art. In-room facilities include: A/C and overhead fans, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facilities, safe, bathrobe, umbrella and torch. Ensuite bathrooms are spacious and have bath tubs and h/w showers.

Luxury Rooms: One room is accessed from the living room while the second room is located at a higher level and accessed from the restaurant.

Suites: The Garden View Suite opens out to a private garden and doesn’t have mountain views. This suite is furnished with two king-sized beds that can sleep four guests and is ideal for a family.

Facilities

Dine in the main restaurant or in the privacy of your own terrace. Sri Lankan, Asian, and western cuisine is served, prepared with vegetables and herbs from the estate. Guests are welcome to pick their own vegetables and learn to cook Sri Lankan rice and curries. Other facilities include a small library, board games, outdoor games including badminton and volley ball, swimming pool, room service and laundry service.
