Lily Beach

Introduction

Lily Beach is a luxurious five-star beach resort set on its own coral island and is well-known for diving with access to over 50 dive sites. The island itself has plenty of natural vegetation in the centre ringed by white sandy beach, turquoise lagoon, a house reef that is good for snorkelling and the Indian Ocean beyond. With a wide range of activities on offer for children and adults alike, Lily Beach is ideal for a family holiday or a romantic escape. The resort operates on an all-inclusive basis.

Accommodation

There are 119 stylishly designed beach villas and water villas all with private sundecks and beautiful sea views. Standard in-room facilities include a/c, overhead fan, coffee/tea/espresso facility, CD/DVD player, and CD flat screen TV with satellite channel, internet, and safe.

Sunset Water Suite: These wonderfully designed suites are built over the lagoon with steps going down into the water. The villas consist of a bedroom furnished with a king size four-poster bed and day bed, private sundeck with dining and lounging area, and a 14 sq. metre infinity pool. These villas have a 52 inch LCD TV in addition to the standard facilities. The ensuite bathroom has a white terrazzo bath tub overlooking the pool and twin vanities.

Deluxe Water Villas: The 36 water villas are located about 15 feet away from each other and has a bedroom furnished with a king size bed and day bed, sundeck with a Jacuzzi plunge pool. Ensuite bathroom has a white marble bathtub and twin vanities. The Deluxe water villas have a 42 inch TV in addition to all the standard facilities.

Lagoon Villas: There are 16 lagoon villas which are built half over the water. These have 29 inch LCD TVs and all the other standard facilities.

Beach Villas: The 57 Beach Villas are scattered along the shoreline and has wonderful sea views. The villas are furnished with a queen size bed, day bed and has 29 inch LCD TV along with the other standard facilities. The bedrooms open out to a private sundeck.

Family Beach Villas: There are six sets of family villas with two interconnecting rooms in each set. These have the same facilities as the Beach Villas.

Facilities

Dine at the Lily Mara restaurant that serves up international buffets, Tamarind - a la carte restaurant, or at the Spirit where light snacks and beverages are served. Rejuvenate at the blissful Tamara Spa with seven treatment pavilions built over the water. A range of relaxing massages and beauty treatments are on offer here. The diving centre here is run by Ocean Pro and offers PADI certified diving courses, diving and snorkelling excursions. Children from 8 – 11 years will enjoy the `Bubble makers’ course offered by the dive centre.

Other resort facilities include a fully equipped gym, water sports centre with activities such as canoeing, wake boarding, wind surfing, catamaran sailing, banana boating; fully equipped sports complex, tennis courts, billiards/pool, beach volleyball; two fresh water swimming pools, and Kid’s Club. Night time entertainment includes live music, dancing, and traditional Maldivian. The resort operates on all-inclusive platinum basis

Location

Lily Beach is set on Huvahendhoo on South Ari Atoll, an area that is excellent for diving with over 50 dive sites including the Kudarah Thila. The airport transfer by sea plane will take up to 25 minutes.
