Introduction
Langdale by Amaya is an extended old colonial property on a hill country tea estate in Radalla with 13 bedrooms and a good deal of old world charm. White picket fencing and a green roof make it one of the most distinctive colonial-style properties in the hills. Bright and airy interiors, antique style furniture, hardwood floors and old fireplaces give a welcoming feel. Go trekking or just relax by the poolside and take in the beautiful mountain views.
Accommodation
Langdale has 13 ensuite bedrooms divided into Superior, Luxury, and Deluxe categories. Bedrooms are furnished with antique-style king or queen-size beds. In-room facilities include electric heaters, 30 inch LCD TV with satellite channels, wifi internet, tea/coffee facility, room service and laundry service.
Luxury Rooms: The four spacious Luxury Rooms also consists of a living area and opens out to the tea hills. Ensuite bathrooms have Jacuzzis.
Deluxe Rooms: There are three ensuite Deluxe Rooms with mountain views of which one is a triple furnished with three single beds which is ideal for children.
Superior Rooms: Smaller in size, these four Superior Rooms are located on the ground floor closer to the reception area and has garden views.
Facilities
Lunch and dinner is served in the main restaurant and depending on the weather, breakfast is served in the garden. Sri Lankan and international cuisine is prepared with fresh up-country vegetables. Facilities include a bar with a snooker table and satellite TV where live sport is screened; reading room with a library and fireplace; spa; indoor games, mountain bikes, and temperature controlled infinity swimming pool in landscaped gardens. Consider trail biking, trekking, bird watching and photography excursions. Future plans include a putting green, croquet, and a children’s play area.

Location
Langdale by Amaya sits on the sprawling Somersettea estate in Radalla. Surrounded by the Great Western Mountain Range and tea covered hills, this is an ideal destination from which to explore the central highlands and the Horton Plains National Park. The distance from here to Nuwara Eliya town is 10kms and will take about 30 minutes. About six hours from the airport, or consider an Air Taxi and arrive at Lake Gregory on Nuwara Eliya's outskirts within an hour. You can also head to the south coast via a daily sea plane service between Hatton and Koggala.
