Introduction
This cosy and well-managed lodge in an attractive setting should be on the short-list for those seeking a hospitable stay in a small, mid-market property well placed for Yala and, indeed, also within range of Uda Walawe game park to the north. Simple, but modern and well-maintained, the lodge offers excellent good comfort levels and an authenticity that has won it many admirers in a price range that can bring both delights and disappointments. An earthy and tranquil oasis in the bush. Awake to birdsong and, if you are lucky, you might even witness a peacock dance in the well-kept gardens.
Accommodation
Spacious individual chalets have king-sized beds and can accommodate up to three adults per room (or two small children) with the addition of a foldaway bed. Chalets offer full-length sliding windows with panoramic views, a/c and ceiling fans, blackout curtains, fridge-minibar, ta / coffee facilities, in-room safe, writing desk and chair, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, en suite bathroom with titanium flooring, rain and hand shower, bathrobes and slippers, bidet.
Facilities
The restaurant offers Sri Lankan and western options and consistently receives good feedback. There is an excellent swimming pool to cool off after a long safari and a shared lounge and games room. Hot water is fuelled by solar panels, but in one of the sunniest and warmest parts of Sri Lanka this is rarely an issue. Koragaha’s in-house naturalist is also a font of knowledge. Staff are also happy to provide packed lunches for crack-of-dawn safari departures.

There is a really authentic feel to this little game lodge which makes it excellent value as a base for a Yala safari.
