Ishq Talpe

Introduction

Ishq Talpe is a stunning beach-front property perched on a secluded golden beach stretch in Talpe, Galle's upmarket beach playground. Named after the Arabic word for Love, Ishq is a beautiful five-bedroomed luxury Sri Lanka villa. Designed in the early 1990s by renowned architect, Bruce Fell-Smith, Ishq is one of the first villas to grace this part of the coast. Carefully refurbished taking in the villa’s open-floor design and complimenting it with Oceanic hues, Ishq is a tribute to the stunning beaches in the South coast.

Ishq’s spacious ground floor layout accommodates four bedrooms, a Library & Entertainment room and a centrally located pool with a dining area and lounge area on either side with access to a well-tendered garden offering 180 degree views of the beach. The upper floor is no longer used for recreation. In 2021, we converted the floor to our 5th suite – the Master Suite and take in the beautiful vistas of the beach and sunsets.

The villa can accommodate a maximum number of 14 people and is only rented out in its entirety

Accommodation

Of the five bedrooms, three are Garden Suites with access to a terrace while the remaining room is an Ocean Suite with a private jacuzzi and veranda which accesses the garden and beach. The décor and colours used in the rooms are soothing and compliments the beach setting. All four rooms are furnished with king-sized beds, sitting area, wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom with twin vanities, indoor and outdoor rain showers. the first 4 suites do not have TVs in them. Only the Library & Entertainment room + the lounge in the Master Suite have TVs

Facilities

The villa’s TV room cum library is spacious and is furnished with an Apple TV with Netflix, Nintendo and PS4 with a variety of games, DVDs and a selection of books. They also offer a jacuzzi & yoga can be done in the lawn on request (chargeable). In terms of a culinary experience, in-house Chefs Chandana and Kasun are sure to wow you with their versatility and their in-depth knowledge of food, whether it’s preparing a delicious Sri Lankan lagoon crab curry or the perfect steak.

Ishq Talpe has 9 staff including Villa Host Manjula to ensure the comfort of guests at all times.
