There are 14 rooms offering modern, understated elegance. All have A/c, high-speed wi-fi, LED TV with international and local channels, minibar, tea/coffee facilities, writing table, umbrellas, rechargeable torch, intercom service, safe, en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, wide range of toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, tissue box, filtered bottled water, hair dryer, iron and ironing board (on request).
Family Room (66 sq m): The family room comprises two rooms and benefits from an extra-large balcony with connecting door. Two king-size beds. Great view of Ella Gap and overlooks tree canopy, as well as garden view. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children.
Premium Room (33 sq m): The Premium Room is also coupled with extra-large balcony. Also has a table and chair. Sleeps 2 adults.
Deluxe Room (33 sq m): The Double room is an elegant, specious room. Some have views of Ella Gap, others look into the tree canopy full of morning birdsong.
Twin Room (33 sq m): The twin room is another spacious room with 2 extra-long single beds. Some with view of Ella Gap and other into tree canopy full with wild birds in the morning.
Facilities
Other facilities include a small infinity pool, bar/lounge and restaurant offering Western dishes and bicycle hire. There is a lift (the hotel needs one more than most!),and smoke alarms and CCTV in public areas enhance safety. Seven Arch Bridge is nearby and within range are hill country attractions such as Bogoda Bridge, Lipton’s Seat and several hiking trails and waterfalls.
Why we like it
Lovers of modern design, combined with the age-old beauty of the landscape, will struggle to find more appealing accommodation in the hill-country’s liveliest town.
Location
Ella is to the south of the highlands and so most easily accessible from the south coast. The Hide is close to Ella Station and the town, but bear in mind that it is a steep climb on the way back.
