Introduction

Goatfell has brought boutique quality to the cool hills around the famous old hill station of Nuwara Eliya. This four-bedroom tea bungalow with a progressive feel exudes a sense of comfort at every turn and overlooks gorgeous tea fields and mountain ranges. With a large garden area, Goatfell is perfect for an intimate getaway or even a single traveller looking for some peace and quiet. Being a small property, Goatfell is able to provide a personalised service.

Accommodation

The four rooms at Goatfell are calm, inviting spaces that easily make for an utterly comfortable stay. Decorated with fresh flowers from Nuwara Eliya, each room is furnished with a full length mirror, safe, hairdryer, electric heater, wardrobe, writing desk, stylish coat rack and a traditional fireplace. Guests will be treated to a hot water bottle every evening, further ensuring a good night’s sleep.

Ragala: This large wooden-floored bedroom is accessible through glass doors from the garden and consists of a large four-poster king-sized bed. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and consists of a bath tub as well as h/w shower. One extra bed can be added if needed.

Kandapola: Located close to the Summerhill and Park rooms, this large room is carpeted and has a four-poster king-sized bed. The terrace overlooks the garden and the attached washroom is average-sized and consists of a bathtub and shower. One extra bed can be added if required.

Summerhill: Overlooking the garden, this room consists of a large four-poster king-sized bed and has its door just opposite the Park room. The washroom is spacious and consists of a bathtub and shower. One extra bed can be added on request. Summerhill and Park can be used as interconnecting rooms, perfect for families.

Park: This room has two single four-poster beds and a spacious washroom with a bathtub and h/w shower. The terrace overlooking the garden is a lovely space to spend an evening. Park and Summerhill can be used as interconnecting rooms, perfect for families.

Facilities

An inviting lounge is soothingly furnished with comfortable sofas and also houses a fireplace to warm the chill of an evening. The adjoining library is ideal for some quiet reading or perhaps drifting away into some deep thinking. Head to the swimming pool across the garden expanse for a refreshing dip or perhaps enjoy breakfast by the pool, overlooked by the gorgeous mountainous terrain.

The dining room at Goatfell is a relatively small space which adds to the intimacy of the whole bungalow. Enjoy some well thought-out meals prepared to perfection and choose from a selection of wines to complement it.

Guests are booked on All Inclusive basis and there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the bungalow.

Location

Goatfell is snuggled in between lush tea bushes overlooking the mountains of Nuwara Eliya. While this gorgeous bungalow is about half an hour from Nuwara Eliya, the journey from Colombo will take roughly five-and-a-half hours. Horton Plains is about an hour-and-half away while the Hakgala Gardens.
