Introduction

Nestled within a former coconut estate minutes away from the historical Galle Fort, Ginganga Lode is a six-bedroom retreat bordering Gin Ganga. Tucked away in an enclave of trees, Ginganga Lodge has been carefully designed using complimenting material and décor to blend in with its verdure-covered surrounding.

A winding pathway from the entrance through a canopy of greenery leads to the main pavilion with a dining area which overlooks an inviting blue pool. Furnished with modern cosy furniture with wooden flooring and showcasing a selection of local pieces of arts and crafts, this retreat offers a tranquil setting for those who want to reconnect with nature and enjoy some downtime to unwind.

The hotel’s six rooms - three Standard rooms, two Luxury rooms and a Suite – are located minutes away from the main pavilion to ensure accessibility and privacy for guests

Accommodation

Standard Rooms – There are two doubles and a twin room, each occupies the space of a modern cottage with polished cement flooring, French doors that open on to a garden. While the double rooms are furnished with a four-poster queen-sized bed, the twin room has four-poster twin beds, wardrobe space, a reading nook, ensuite bathroom with an outdoor shower.

Luxury Rooms (Ginger and Heliconia) - These two rooms occupy a stand-alone chalet built over a marshy land and share a large living area with views of the surrounding. Furnished with queen-sized beds, rustic furniture and local art pieces, wardrobe space, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and come with an ensuite bathroom and open-air shower area.

Suite – The suite also known as the Rice Paddy is a sprawling cottage that can easily accommodate a family but also cosy enough for a couple. Situated away from the rest of the hotel, the Rice Paddy has two private patios and comes with a private breakfast service for those who enjoy being pampered. The room has a large living area, a wide, four-poster queen-sized bed and a massive open-air bathroom.

All rooms are air-conditioned with overhead fans and have Wi-Fi.

Facilities

Ginganga Lodge has a swimming pool and a private spa area surrounded by wildlife where they offer a selection of spa treatments. The in-house chef prepares a variety of Intercontinental and Sri Lankan dishes. Meals are served at the dining pavilion overlooking the pool and jungle area.
