Eka Beach

Introduction

EKA Beach is a collection of cosy, affordable pavilions that sit on a palm-fringed golden beach on the fringes of Thalpe, looking outward to the palm-fringed Galle Coast. The beach has stunning views of the Rhumassala headland and is flanked by an endless series of arced beaches. EKA features a white arced beach, magical sunsets, and great surf and sea life. You could relax with drinks and food at the outdoor terraced café, or take to the beach. Staff are friendly without being obtrusive and well trained. You may be lucky enough to see a local turtle family bobbing in the waves whilst tucking into your breakfast on the terrace or during your morning beach walk.

The rooms at EKA Beach are comfortable and well appointed. Each room has new comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, fans and mosquito nets, safes, free WIFI and the Master Room and Triple Rooms are air conditioned. The Master Room also includes a bath. The property can sleep up to 10 people in a combination of double and triple rooms that are serviced on a daily basis. The following types of rooms available:

Two Double Rooms: Known as the Sea room and the Art room, these rooms are fitted with Queen size beds facing the beach.

One Triple Room: The Ocean room, this rooms also has a Queen size bed and double bed with sea views, air conditioning, kitchenette and sitting area. An additional rollaway bed can be set up for kids under 12.

One Master Room: This is the highest category room, fitted with a King size bed, kitchenette, air conditioning and a luxurious bath.

Facilities

The facilities at EKA Beach and the quality of its rooms are akin to that of a villa and include laundry service, Sri Lankan meals on request, snorkelling equipment, local daily newspapers, 'podi' book lending library (free),Sri Lankan cooking lessons, Ayurvedic or traditional massage and babysitting.

Location

EKA Beach can be found on the edge of Galle's upmarket beach settlement of Thalpe. About 2.5 hours from Colombo's international airport and 15 minutes from Galle Fort. If you are then heading from the coast into the hills, we offer competitive rates on a daily sea plane between Koggala and Hatton.
