Deer Park Hotel

Introduction

Deer Park is a cosy eco resort overlooking Giritale reservoir and advantageous for visits to the ruined city of Polonnuruwa in Sri Lanka's cultural triangle. It has high levels of style and comfort and a tranquil, natural feel despite quite a compact setting. Accommodation is in well-appointed cottages scattered across the gardens. Accommodation and restaurant areas are well cared for.

Accommodation

There are 71 cottages decorated with a blend of vibrant colours and Asian crafts. All the cottages have a/c, overhead fans, satellite TV, mini-bar, and room service. The interiors are furnished with double or twin beds. There is also a living area with a day bed, dressing area, and ensuite bathroom with h/w shower.

Superior Cottages: The 32 Superior Cottages are ideal for families and friends who wish to stay in connecting units. These are available in a single-unit block or a four-unit block for larger groups. The ground floor cottages feature a living area and outdoor bathroom. The four-unit blocks have upper storey units with indoor showers and a common balcony.

Duplex Cottages: These 16 two-storey cottages are ideal for families who prefer more privacy. The Duplex Cottage comes with an open-air bathroom and shower facilities. The upper floor is devoted solely to the bedroom, ensuring a quiet and restful night's sleep.

Deluxe Duplex Cottage: The 10 Deluxe Duplex Cottages are similar to the Duplex Cottages but have 40% more space and you can have a selection of views: pool, pond or forest. The ground floor consists of a comfortable living area, dressing area and outdoor bathroom.

King Deluxe rooms & King Superior rooms: There are newly renovated 4 King Superior rooms & 6 King Deluxe rooms available in the New wing garden side. All rooms are completed with exclusive interior designs & bath ware amenities. Upper floor rooms have balconies to enjoy the wood side garden view & ground floor rooms are with terrace to sit & relax.

Dear Park Cottages:  These are 2 Deer Park cottages surrounded by ponds strewn with lilies and overlook the Giritale reservoir. They have their own private gazebos in which to sip your morning tea and look out over the water. There is a one Deer Park cottage room with the Garden view. All 3 Deer Park Cottage rooms are newly renovated rooms with modern amenities such as Ipod station, exclusive interior designs & exclusive bath ware.

Facilities

Ebony restaurant offers buffet and fine-dining options. At Tree Tops you can dine in the forest canopy. Sandpiper bar, three-tiered swimming pool, gift shop and sports centre with squash, gymnasium, table tennis and a sauna. The in-house spa has five outdoor and four indoor spa pavilions and offers an extensive range of massage, body and beauty treatments.
