Introduction
Danish Villa is an easy-going five-bedroom guest house with simple, well-furnished interiors on the fringes of Arugam Bay. Skirted by a broad veranda, the property is surrounded by landscaped gardens where birds and even the occasional monkey hover in the trees. Danish Villa offers a restful setting away from the main bay, but is still walking distance from the best beaches. Danish Villa is booked on a bed and breakfast basis, but there are several cafes and restaurants close by.
Accommodation
As well as the main house, there is also a Garden Bungalow. There are three bedrooms in the main house, one of which is a triple room. The Garden Bungalow has two double rooms which offer guests more privacy. Rooms are furnished with twin or double beds fitted with mosquito nets, and have a/c and an overhead fan and ensuite bathrooms with h/w showers.
Facilities
In the main house there is a living room equipped with a satellite TV, DVD player and a selection of books. Food and drinks are served outdoors on the veranda: breakfast, tea, coffee and fresh juices are on offer. The rear garden has a bench and table where you can relax under the shade of a Tamarind tree.
Why we like it
