Introduction

Crystal Sands is a contemporary all-Suite hotel at the northern end of the Galle Coast. It comprises 25 Sky Villas, combining the luxury of a top-end hotel with the comforts and sense of belonging of home. The property majors on light, space, and some of the best sea views in Sri Lanka – every Sky Villa offers unmatched views of the Indian Ocean. Considerable attention has been taken in crafting the best of modern living. A commitment to sustainability is seen in the re-use of grey water, locally-sourced fruit and vegetables and energy conservation.

Accommodation

Crystal Sands consists of 25 Sky Villas across nine storeys with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom units as well as a top-of-the-range Presidential Sky Villa. The Sky Villas have four different categories: Palm, Sands, Surf and Presidential. These extremely spacious units all have a plunge pool and panoramic ocean views.

Palm Sky Villa (52 sq m / 80 sq m): There is a one-bedroom unit and seven two-bedroom units in this classification. All have a living area, state-of-the-art kitchen and a balcony with a plunge pool with views of coconut palms and the Indian Ocean. Bedrooms are ensuite with rain showers.

Sands Sky Villa (98 sq m): Eight larger two-bedroom Sky Villas have a living area, state-of-the-art kitchen, and balcony with a plunge pool. All have views of the golden sands and ocean below. Bedrooms are equipped with ensuite bathrooms and rain showers.

Surf Sky Villa (135 sq m): Eight three-bedroom Sky Villas with a living area, state-of-the-art kitchen, a large balcony with a plunge pool and glorious sea vistas. The third room has a pull-out couch that can be retracted to create a dedicated office room. Each bedroom is equipped with an ensuite bathroom and rain shower.

Presidential Sky Villa (370 sq m): A generous 4-bedroom Sky Villa that takes up the entire ninth floor and is ideal for groups of friends and families. Ample sleeping arrangements include four Queen Beds, four King Beds and a pull-out coach. The Sky Villa boasts an opulent living area, state-of-the-art kitchen, and a large balcony with a plunge pool and stunning views of the ocean. Bedrooms possess ensuite bathrooms with rain showers.

Facilities

The rooftop Tempest Restaurant and Bar offers Asian flavours and an imaginative range of cocktails. The rooftop also offers an infinity edge pool that blends into the ocean. There is also a fitness centre, lawn with sunbeds, 24-hour reception and security.

Location

Crystal Sands sits on an untouched stretch of beach in Rathgama, about 15 minutes north of the historic Galle Fort. The lively beach resort of Hikkaduwa is 10 minutes to the north.
