Clove Villa

Introduction

Clove Villa is a modern, Sri Lankan-owned private villa a short distance from Kandy centre and offers a personalised service and comfortable accommodation in seven good-quality bedrooms. Designed with high timber roofs and tall glass windows, Clove Villa spreads across three floors. The living and dining area is on the ground floor with the bedrooms located on all three floors. Rise early and go on a Kandyan temple excursion. Once back at the villa, relax by the poolside and by nightfall, enjoy dinner on the roof terrace. Clove Villa is located in a residential area next to Mahaweli Reach hotel and is set away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy town, yet close enough to enjoy Kandy’s ancient cultural heritage.

Accommodation

There are seven Deluxe and Superior Rooms with tastefully decorated interiors that vary in their colour themes. Rooms are furnished with king or queen-size beds dressed in fine linen, writing desk, and lounge chairs. In-room facilities include a/c, overhead fans, flat screen TV with satellite channels, tea/coffee facility, iPod dock, wifi internet, and IDD telephone.  The modern, ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.

Deluxe Rooms:  The two Deluxe Rooms are spacious and are furnished with king-size four-poster beds.  In addition to the standard facilities, these rooms have 42 inch TVs.  One of the rooms is located on the first floor and opens out to views of the back garden; and the other is located on the second floor.

Superior Rooms:  The five Superior Rooms are smaller in size and are furnished with king or queen-size beds.  One is a twin bedroom located on the ground floor.  In addition to the standard facilities, these bedrooms have 32 inch TVs.

Facilities

The ground floor lounge equipped with a small library and satellite TV, opens on to the front lawn. Meals are served in the dining room edged by a tranquil pond; on the roof top or by the poolside. Sri Lankan and western cuisine is served. Alcoholic beverages are not served and guests are welcome to bring their own. There is a games room on the second floor with a snooker table and board games. The swimming pool is set amidst Frangipani trees in the rear garden. Other facilities include Wi-Fi throughout the property, laptop for guests to use, baby cot, room service and laundry service.

Location

Clove Villa is a boutique villa set in the suburbs of Kandy just 15 minutes away from Kandy town. This is an ideal location from which to access Kandy’s cultural sites and it is en route to the Cultural Triangle. The journey from Colombo’s international airport take will about three hours.
