Discover Sri Lanka’s awe-inspiring tea hills, diverse wildlife, vibrant history and tropical beaches on this eight-day tour of southern Sri Lanka. Begin in Bentota with two days of relaxation and / or water-sports on beautiful tropical beaches. Afterwards, wind along the coast to Yala, perhaps stopping off at 17C Galle Fort along the way. During your stay in Yala, go on jeep drives through the national park to spot leopards, sloth bears and a variety of other animals. From here, wind into the island’s central tea hills for two days of luxury living, glorious views and walking opportunities. End with a final night at an idyllic boutique hotel with excellent food that is conveniently close to Sri Lanka’s main airport.

Day 1 & 2 Bentota, West Coast
Your first two nights will be spent in a beach hotel in Bentota, a quiet coastal town with broad sandy beaches under two hours from Sri Lanka’s main international airport. This idyllic tropical setting offers the chance for surfing, jet-skiing, sailing and safe swimming if you are feeling active – otherwise, just enjoy the glorious sunsets!

Day 3 & 4 Tissamaharama, Tissa & Kataragama
Wind along the coastline (or save time and take the highway) to Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s most popular parks which boasts the highest density of leopards of anywhere in the world. You can also spot elephants, sloth bears, deer, buffalo, wild boar, crocodiles and a wide variety of birds here – just to name a few! Head out on twice daily jeep drives through the park and enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst you look out for the diverse wildlife.

Day 5 & 6 Haputale, Hill Country
Drive north into the island’s glorious tea country to spend two days in a luxurious colonial tea bungalow. Experience sensational scenery and take the chance to talk along quiet trails through the surrounding tea estates.

Day 7 Kotugoda, North-West
Travel back to where you started to spend a final night in a tranquil boutique hotel which is conveniently close to Bandaranaike International Airport. Relax by the pool in the well-tended gardens, take afternoon tea at 3:30pm and indulge in a delicious evening meal on their open-air veranda.

Day 8 Airport
Today, your chauffeur-guide will pick you up and take you to the airport in time to catch your flight home.
