Introduction

Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort is located within a coconut plantation on an isolated stretch of coastline in Tangalle on Sri Lanka's south coast Influenced both by ancient Sri Lankan design and Anantara’s commitment to luxury, the hotel offers 152 stylish rooms and pool villas with picturesque views of the Indian Ocean. The accommodation is designed to cater to honeymooners, families and groups of friends, and also provides facilities for differently abled guests.

Accommodation

Anantara Tangalle has 152 rooms and pool villas. The rooms are categorised into three types: Premier Garden View, Premier Ocean View and Deluxe Ocean View. There are four different villas: Garden Pool, a two-bedroom Garden Pool, Ocean View and Beach. All rooms and pool villas are furnished with a king-size bed or twin beds and have a luxurious bathroom with a rain shower and separate bathtub. They also have coffee/tea making facilities, a safe, a mini bar, Wi-Fi and a flat screen television with HDMI multimedia connectivity.

Premier Garden and Ocean View rooms – 45 square metre room with a separate balcony or terrace, furnished with a daybed and dining furniture. This room can accommodate 3 adults and interconnecting rooms are available.

Deluxe Ocean View rooms – 49 square metre room with a balcony or terrace with views of the Indian ocean. Interconnecting rooms available.

Garden, Ocean View and Beach pool villas – 64 square metre room with a separate outdoor terrace and an indoor living area with a master bedroom with a king-size bed. There is also outdoor dining furniture, a private plunge pool and sunbeds, a BOSE sound system, DVD player and bicycles. These villas can accommodate 3 adults or two adults and one child.

Two-bedroom Garden pool villa – 171 square metre space which includes a master room with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with twin beds, two luxury ensuite bathrooms which both have a rain shower and separate bathtub, a living room, a dining room and a butler pantry. There is also an outdoor area, a private plunge pool with sunbeds and the villa is furnished with the same facilities as the other pool villas. It can sleep 4 adults or 3 adults and one child.

Facilities

Anantara Tangalle has several restaurants, including: Journeys, which serves an array of international dishes; Il Mare, an Italian restaurant; Verele, a teppanyaki grill with Lankan flair, and El Vino which serves Mediterranean dishes. They also have a wine cellar offering a wide variety of wines, a poolside bar, a high tea lounge and private dining areas which can be organized on request. The hotel also has a swimming pool, a fully equipped gym and a spa with ayurveda and reflexology treatments. In addition there are also badminton and tennis courts and yoga, meditation, pilates and tai chi lessons.
