Introduction

Colombo Court Hotel & Spa has 32 rooms that blend comfortable living with contemporary, environmentally-conscious style. Interiors are decorated with furniture, light fittings, and art using recycled materials. From a three-storey high sculpture of a tree made of metal and bicycle parts in the reception area, to bar stools made of recycled tractor seats in the Loft Bar, this is a boutique hotel that will appeal to those preferring something different to a standard city hotel. A swimming pool and a separate Pool Wing were added in 2013 providing more facilities. Colombo Court Hotel & Spa is equipped to cater to holiday as well as business travellers.

Accommodation

The 32 Rooms and Suites are spread across three floors and have a/c, overhead fans, mini-bar, 32 inch LED TV with satellite channels, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facility, IDD telephone, electronic safe, hair dryer, bathrobe, slippers and complimentary toiletries. All bedrooms have king-sized beds, work desk and wardrobe. Red Dot recommends the bedrooms and suites situated away from the main roadway which are quieter.

Deluxe Rooms: The 11 Deluxe Rooms are compact and well equipped with all the standard facilities. Three of these Deluxe Rooms are located in the Pool Wing close to the swimming pool. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.

Superior Deluxe Rooms:  The 6 Superior Deluxe rooms are more spacious and have all standard facilities listed above.

Suites: The 15 Suites are spacious and consists of an ensuite bedroom with h/w shower and bathtub. In addition to the standard facilities, the Suites are equipped with a 42 inch LED TV with satellite channels, 21 inch iMac computer, cappuccino maker, and juice maker. Ensuite bathrooms have bath tubs and h/w rain showers. Seven of these Suites are located in the Pool Wing close to the swimming pool.

Facilities

Dine at the Scarlet Room decorated with an eclectic blend of mood lighting and black and white photographs. Cloud Nine, the rooftop café opens at sunset and is ideal for taking in Colombo’s skyline, offering Asian and European cuisine, snacks, fresh juices and a range of alcoholic drinks. The industrial style Loft Bar furnished with recycled bar stools, old recycled tea chest tables on wheels, and jute cushions serves up a good mix of cocktails and snacks. A ground floor lounge and library also serves snacks and drinks. There is a well-stocked wine cellar, business centre, swimming pool and children’s pool, laundry service and 24 hour in-room dining. Relax and rejuvenate at the Amber Spa with a hot stone signature treatment using Aromatherapy oils. The relaxing massages and body scrubs are done by experienced Indonesian therapists using ancient Balinese techniques.

Sustainability

Colombo Court Hotel & Spa is Asia’s first Carbon Neutral hotel, having actively taken an interest in being a sustainable entity. From training the staff on good practices and placing reminders for guests on energy and water saving methods, the hotel also has a no-plastic bottle policy and ensures guests can refill their bottles instead.
