Cinnamon Red

Introduction

Cinnamon Red, positioned in the heart of Colombo, offers comfortable mid-range accommodation in a convenient location, close to many shops and restaurants in the Sri Lankan capital. This contemporary hotel spans 26 floors, towering above its neighbours. Designed to take advantage of the outstanding city-scape views this height affords, the rooms have floor-to-ceiling glass windows. There is also a large rooftop space with a restaurant and bar and pool surrounded by sunbeds, where guests can relax and make the most of the extensive views. Interiors are mostly monochrome, enhanced with vibrant bursts of crimson, and each room is decorated with an artistically-designed inspirational phrase written above the bed. The latest modern technology is found throughout the hotel: the tables in the coffee lounge and the TVs in the rooms are interactive flat screens, fitted with apps such as Google Maps, information about the hotel and a variety of games. Cinnamon Red is a member of the Cinnamon family, who have properties across the island.

Accommodation

Cinnamon Red has 242 rooms, some of which are smoking. The rooms are split into Lake View, City View, Park View and Sea View: some rooms have a double view. On each floor there are double and twin rooms, one suite and two interconnecting rooms. Rooms can be tripled. Each room has either a king-sized bed or twin beds and is fitted with A/C, a TV, table, mirror, iron and ironing board, safe and a mini-fridge. Ensuite bathrooms are fitted with h/w showers.

Facilities

There are two restaurants at Cinnamon Red: FlavouRED, the largest restaurant, is buffet-style and has multiple ‘action stations’ serving everything from Chinese to Indian cuisine. They also have an a la carte lunch menu. The walls are decorated with colourful contemporary pieces from local artists. There is also a rooftop restaurant and bar called Cloud Red which serves alcohol from 10am – 2am and a private dining area that can seat up to eight people. Other facilities include: a pool, gym, indoor rooftop lounge. a spacious reception area and an ice-machine on every floor.
