Anilana Pasikudah

Introduction

Anilana Pasikudah offers personalised service and a relaxed atmosphere on Sri Lanka's idyllic east coast which is at its best during peak season from May to September. The vast lounge and dining area have uninterrupted views of the swimming pool and sea beyond. The resort has white-washed walls, polished cement floors and palm-thatched roofs which blend in with the surrounding properties, with minimalist interiors decorated in natural hues. Anilana Pasikudah is one of several resorts owned by the Anilana Group in Sri Lanka.

Accommodation

There are three types of room at Anilana – Deluxe, Chalets and Lofts – as well as studios and suites. All rooms have a living area which opens out to a private balcony with pool or sea views and are furnished with built-in king-sized cement beds and timber wardrobes. They also have a spacious ensuite bathroom with h/w rain shower. In-room facilities include: A/C and an overhead fan, an LED TV with cable channels, Wi-Fi, a personal bar and coffee/tea facilities and a safe. An iron and ironing board are available on request.

Anilana Deluxe Rooms: These bedrooms are spacious and have terraces that open out to the swimming pool.

Beach Chalets: Has a large bedroom and living area which opens out to a terrace with direct sea views.

Lofts: These two-level bedrooms are ideal for families. The ground floor has a lounge, bathroom and a sleeping area with a king-sized bed, whilst twin beds are located on an upper floor.

Anilana, Kalkudah, and Pasikudah Studios: Located on the upper floor of the main building, these studios have panoramic views of both Pasikudah and Kalkudah Bay. Some of these studios are available with interconnecting rooms.

Anilana Lux Suites: These two-bedroom suites offer direct access to the beach. They are designed with outdoor seating areas with sun lounges that let you enjoy the beach in complete privacy.

Facilities

Sri Lankan and international cuisine is served in the main dining room, which overlooks the swimming pool and sea beyond, and the lobby bar offers a range of cocktails and wines. The restaurant is set around an open-show kitchen, allowing guests to watch as dishes are prepared by the in-house chefs. Other facilities include: a spa, an extensive swimming pool, a boardroom and business centre, 24-hour room service, laundry service, baby-sitting services and an on-call doctor. The seas in front of the resort are not suitable for swimming, but it is a short stroll to the middle of the bay where swimming and water-sports are safe between March and September.
