Introduction
Amaya Beach fronts the spectacular 300 metre Pasikudah Bay on Sri Lanka's north-east coast, where the seas are ideal for swimming and water-sports between March to September. The hotel, designed by Sri Lankan architect Phillip Weeraratne, successfully blends modern interiors with ethnic touches, such as copper lamps and urns from the local area. Amaya Beach has a laidback atmosphere and offers luxurious rooms and suites with sea views and Sri Lankan and international cuisine with seafood specialties. Accommodation
There are 125 luxurious rooms that fall into several room categories. Room sizes vary from a minimum of 47sqm to the spacious suites that are 185sqm. All rooms open out to a private balcony or terrace with sea views and have an ensuite bathroom with h/w rain shower. In-room facilities include A/C and an overhead fan, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, minibar and tea/coffee facilities.
Superior Rooms: There are 10 Superior Rooms, offering either two double beds or one king-sized bed and a balcony from which you can enjoy the view and the sea breeze.
Deluxe Rooms: The 77 well-placed Deluxe Rooms can accommodate families of three. Furnishings and lighting are modern. A private balcony offers spectacular views of the sea.
Premium Deluxe Rooms: These 30 rooms are 53sqm., offering a warm and welcoming space and additional luxury for couples or families with two children.
Deluxe Suite: With ample space and a balcony to relax on, the three luxurious Deluxe Suites are well-suited for families of three adults and two children.
Deluxe Family Residence: The two residences are able to sleep up to three adults and three children, with one king-sized bed, sofa bed and bunk beds.
Executive Suite: The two Executive Suites are self-contained and offer privacy and luxury. Accommodating up to three adults and two children, these suites can also be interconnected with a Deluxe Room if required.
Premium Deluxe Spa Suite: This suite is one-of-a-kind and can house up to four adults and four children. It has one king-sized bed, twin beds and bunk beds to ensure a comfortable stay.
Facilities
Dine at the Reef Café which serves up Sri Lankan, Thai and international cuisine, either buffet style or a la carte, or take in the spectacular sea views with a cocktail at the poolside Aqua lounge bar. Other resort facilities include a swimming pool, a spa, a gym, a pool table, a badminton court and beach volleyball.
