Introduction
Buckingham Place is an appealing boutique hotel on a five-acre estate between the deserted beaches of Rekawa, where marine turtles come ashore to nest, and the tranquil Rekawa Lagoon.. That makes Buckingham Place an utterly peaceful holiday choice, away from the hurly burly. This stylish eleven-room hotel is contemporary in design with tasteful interiors and serves sumptuous Sri Lankan and international fusion cuisine prepared with fresh seafood purchased from the local fisherman and vegetables from the village home gardens. Buckingham Place does much to benefit the Rekawa village and supports the valuable Turtle Conservation Project located nearby. Buckingham Place have also introduced an anti-plastic cammitment, phasing out the purchase and use of all plastic and polythene that cannot be used for at least 6 months.
